Land Rover Defender: MHEV Pass Through Assembly
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with occasional rear seats
2. Remove the third row seats.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without occasional rear seats
3. Remove the loadspace right side trim panel.
4. Remove the loadspace left side trim panel.

Remove the stowage compartment.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
6. Remove the rear subframe.

Disconnect the loadspace electrical connector.

- Release the wiring harness from the clip.
- Disconnect the underside electrical connector.

- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Release the 3 clips and remove the MHEV pass through assembly.
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1.
- Install the MHEV pass through assembly.
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
2.
- Connect the underside electrical connector.
- Install the wiring harness into the clip.
3. Connect the loadspace electrical connector.
4. Install the rear subframe.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without occasional rear seats
5. Install the stowage compartment.
6. Install the loadspace left side trim panel.
7. Install the loadspace right side trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with occasional rear seats
8. Install the third row seat.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
9. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
