Land Rover Defender: Startup Battery Disconnect and Connect

GENERAL PROCEDURES

CHECK

NOTE:

1. Always refer to the health and safety precautions before carrying out this procedure.

2. Note the preset radio frequencies.

Remove the access cover.

ADJUSTMENT

1.

CAUTION: Make sure the startup battery ground cable is correctly installed.

Startup Battery Disconnect and Connect

  1. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
  2. Tighten the nut(s).

    Torque: 6Nm

2. Install the access cover.

3. Reposition the front row right seat to the noted position.

4. Complete the door window motor initialization procedure.

5. Enter the preset radio frequencies.

6. Reset the clock to the correct time.
