Land Rover Defender: Electric Vehicle Safety Rules

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

FOREWORD

Every Company has a duty to make sure that it has in place adequate health and safety arrangements to protect persons from the inherent Hazards associated with its business activities.

These Electric Vehicle (EV) Safety Rules are used to cover work and activities undertaken on Electric Vehicles.

Every Company Shall therefore make a suitable assessment of:

a) The risks to the health and safety of its Employees and/or contractors to which they are exposed whilst they are at work.

b) The EV training qualifications held by their Persons required to work on Electric Vehicles.

c) The access each Person has to Jaguar Land Rover workshop manual information on TOPIx.

d) The access each Person has to Approved tooling and Jaguar Land Rover Approved Special Service Tools (SST).

e) The access each Person has to Approved Equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for work on EV. The Company Shall make sure this equipment and PPE used and complies with any local market legislation.

f) The risks to the health and safety of Persons not employed and/or contracted to the Company of which could be exposed during business activities, in conjunction with any local market legislation.
