REMOVAL
CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
2. Remove the front driveshaft.

- Remove the nut(S).
- Remove the Emergency Park Release (EPR) lever.

- Use the special tools to remove the seal.
Special Tool(s): 307-509-1, 307-509-2
- Discard the seal.
INSTALLATION
1.

Use the special tool to install a new seal.
Special Tool(s): 307-509-3
2.
- Install the Emergency Park Release (EPR) lever.
- Install and tighten the nut(S).
Torque: 12Nm
3. Install the front driveshaft.

WARNINGS:
The spilling of hot oil is unavoidable during this procedure, care
must be taken to prevent scalding.
Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the
Full-size spare wheel and tire change
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS) automatically recognizes any
changes in wheel positions. The vehicle
must be stationary for 15 minutes during
the wheel and tire change, to make sure
that the system can detect the change.
