REMOVAL

NOTE:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

2. Remove the transmission.

3.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.

Input Shaft Oil Seal

Use the special tools to remove the torque converter.

Special Tool(s): 307-613

4.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damage to the seal register and running surface.

Input Shaft Oil Seal

Use the special tools to remove the seal.

Special Tool(s): 100-012, 100-012-01, 308-375

INSTALLATION

1.

Input Shaft Oil Seal

Use the special tool to install a new seal.

Special Tool(s): JLR-308-845

2.

Input Shaft Oil Seal

Make sure the torque converter is installed as illustrated.

3.

Input Shaft Oil Seal

Use the special tools to install the torque converter.

Special Tool(s): 307-613

4. Install the transmission.

5. Check the transmission fluid level.
