REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

2. Power down the Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) system.

MHEV Front Junction Box

Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

MHEV Front Junction Box

Remove the 3 nuts.
Remove the MHEV battery front junction box.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the MHEV battery front junction box.

Install the MHEV battery front junction box.
Install and tighten the 3 nuts.

Torque: 9Nm

3. Power up the MHEV system.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION GENERAL EQUIPMENT PART(S) REMOVAL WARNING: To prevent accidental deployment, you must power down the Restraints Control Module (RCM). Wait at least 1 minute after you disconnect the startup battery ground cable before you do any work on the Supplementary Restraint System
