Land Rover Defender: Headlamp Assembly
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
CAUTIONS:
- Protect the surrounding paintwork to avoid damage.
- Protect the surrounding trim to avoid damage.
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and
free from foreign material. When
disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTES:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the radiator grille at 8 clips.

- Remove the bolt.
- Release the headlamp finisher assembly.
- Disconnect the headlamp washer jet hose.
- Remove the headlamp finisher assembly.

- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Release the headlamp assembly and disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the headlamp assembly.
INSTALLATION
1.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the headlamp assembly.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 4.1Nm
2.
- Connect the headlamp washer jet hose.
- Install the headlamp finisher assembly.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 4.1Nm
3.
- Install the radiator grille.
- Connect the electrical connector.
4.
- Install the hood latch panel finisher.
- Install the 6 clips.
5. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
6. Align the headlamps on both sides.
