Land Rover Defender: Headlamp Switch
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTE:
- The headlamp switch is an integral component of the Steering Wheel
Module (SWM) and cannot be
serviced separately.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the Steering Wheel Module (SWM).
INSTALLATION
1.
- Connect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Install the clip.
- Install the Steering Wheel Module (SWM).
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 1.9Nm
2. Install the steering wheel.
3. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
