Land Rover Defender: Front Left Fender
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding paintwork.
NOTE:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
2. Remove the front fender moulding.
3. Remove the front wheel arch liner.
4. Remove the front bumper.
5. Remove the front fender trim panel.

- Remove the 5 clips.
- Remove the access cover.

- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the bracket.

- Remove the 3 bolts.

Remove the bolt.

Remove the 2 bolts.

- Remove the bolt.
- Reposition the front air intake duct to get access to the center air intake duct.
- Remove the center air intake duct.

- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the rear air intake duct.

- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the front left fender.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.

- Install the front fender.
- Install the 3 bolts.

NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.

Install the 2 bolts.
3.
NOTE: Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.

Install the 2 nuts.

NOTE: Only tighten the bolt finger tight at this stage.

Install the bolt.

Align the fender gaps to the surrounding body panels as illustrated.
6.
- Tighten the 3 upper bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
7.
- Tighten the 2 lower bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
8.
- Tighten the 2 rear nuts.
Torque: 10Nm
9.
- Tighten the front bolt.
Torque: 10Nm
10.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install the rear air intake duct.
11.
- Install the center air intake duct.
- Reposition the front air intake duct into the correct location.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 5Nm
12.
- Install the bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 6Nm
13.
- Install the 5 clips.
- Install the access cover.
14. Install the front fender trim panel.
15. Install the front bumper.
16. Install the front wheel arch liner.
17. Install the front fender moulding.
