REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

2. Drain the differential.

3. Remove both the rear halfshafts.

4. Remove the rear silencer.

5. Disconnect the rear driveshaft.

Disconnect the breather pipe.

NOTE: If equipped.

Differential

Disconnect the differential locking motor electrical connector.

Use a suitable transmission jack to support the rear differential case.

General Equipment: Transmission jack

Remove and discard the 2 differential rear bush bolts.

INSTALLATION

3. Remove the supporting stand.

NOTE: If equipped.

Connect the differential locking motor electrical connector.

5. Connect the breather pipe.

9. Install the rear silencer.

10. Install both the rear halfshafts.

11. Fill the differential.
