REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
GENERAL EQUIPMENT
REMOVAL
NOTE:

- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with third row seats
2. Remove the third row seats.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without third row seats
3. Remove the right loadspace trim panel.
4.
Remove the stowage compartment.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
5.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
6.
- Remove the 4 nuts.
- Reposition the ground cable away from the control module.
- Remove the Rear Differential Control Module (RDCM).
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1.
- Install the RDCM.
- Position the ground cable in the correct location.
- Install and tighten the 4 nuts.
Torque: 9Nm
2. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without third row seats
3. Install the stowage compartment.
4. Install the right loadspace trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with third row seats
5. Install the third row seats.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
7. If a new component has been installed, configure with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR)
approved diagnostic
equipment.

To avoid accidental deployment, the Restraints Control Module (RCM)
backup power supply must be
depleted. Wait at least 1 minute after disconnecting the startup battery
ground cable(s) before doing any
repair or adjustmen
