REMOVAL

CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

NOTES:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

2. Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic system, to depressurize the air spring at the relevant corner.

3. Remove the rear wheel and tire assembly.

4.

CAUTION: Do not use air tools to remove the halfshaft nut.

NOTE: Retain the nut for the installation procedure.

Remove the rear halfshaft nut.

Release the height sensor from the rear lower control arm.

Remove the rear brake disc.

CAUTION: To prevent the wheel knuckle falling outwards and disconnection of the halfshaft inner joint, support the wheel knuckle.

CAUTION: Do not use a hammer to detach the halfshaft from the hub assembly, failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the halfshaft.

INSTALLATION

8. Install the rear brake disc.

9. Secure the height sensor link to the rear lower arm.

CAUTION: Do not use air tools to install the half shaft nut.

NOTE: Apply the brake pedal during the installation of the halfshaft nut.

Install and tighten the old halfshaft nut.

Torque: 175Nm

CAUTION: Do not use air tools to remove the half shaft nut.

NOTE: Apply the brake pedal during the removal of the halfshaft nut.

Remove the old halfshaft nut.

CAUTION: Do not use air tools to install the half shaft nut.

NOTE: Apply the brake pedal during the installation of the halfshaft nut.

Install and tighten the new halfshaft nut.

Renew Part: Rear halfshaft nut Quantity: 1.

Torque

13. Remove the rear wheel and tire assembly.

14. Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic system, to pressurise the air suspension.

15. Use the JLR approved diagnostic system, to calibrate the suspension ride height.
