REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

CAUTIONS:

• The wheel and tire assembly will be heavy.
• The locking wheel nuts can be removed and installed using the special adapter only, provided in the tool kit.
• Using power tools may result in damage to the wheel nuts. Make sure the wheel nuts are removed and installed using hand tools only.

NOTES:

• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right side components are similar.

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

• Remove the 5 wheel nuts.
• Remove the wheel and tire.

INSTALLATION

1.

WARNING: Apply a small amount of grease to the bore and spigot areas of the wheel before installation. Make sure the grease does not come into contact with the vehicles braking components and the wheel stud threads. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

• Install the wheel and tire.
• Install and tighten the 5 nuts in the indicated sequence.

  Torque

  • Stage1: Stage 1: 4Nm
  • Stage2: Stage 2: 70Nm
  • Stage3: Stage 3: 140Nm
