REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTE:

• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right side components are similar.

1.

WARNING: Take extra care when handling Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) components.

Before handling any components within the SRS, make sure that the safety guidelines are followed.

2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

3. To avoid accidental airbag deployment, wait at least 1 minutes after you disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

4. Remove the rear junction box.

5. Remove the right loadspace trim panel.

6. Remove the D-pillar trim panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

• Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.
• Remove the bolt and the seatbelt upper anchor.
• Remove the seatbelt retractor bolt.
• Remove the third row seatbelt retractor and belt assembly.

INSTALLATION

1.

CAUTION: Make sure that the component is correctly located.

• Install the third row seatbelt retractor and belt assembly.
• Install and tighten the new seatbelt retractor bolt.

  Renew Part: Seatbelt retractor bolt Quantity: 1.

  Torque: 40Nm

• Connect the electrical connector to the third row seatbelt retractor.
• Install the seatbelt upper anchor and bolt.
• Tighten the bolt.

  Torque: 40Nm

2. Install the D-pillar trim panel.

3. Install the right loadspace trim panel.

4. Install the Rear Junction Box.

5. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
