Land Rover Defender: Front Roof Trim Panel

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTE:

1. Remove the headliner.

2.

CAUTION: Protect the surrounding paintwork to avoid damage.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the surrounding components.

Use a suitable scraper to remove the sealant.

4.

CAUTION:

Use a suitable cleaning fluid to clean the surface.

INSTALLATION

1.

Front Roof Trim Panel

CAUTION: If the date on the panel has expired the primer should be reactivated with Sika PSA activator.

Apply a bead of JLR-5 sealant to the new roof front trim panel as illustrated.

2.

CAUTION: Make sure that the trim panel is correctly installed.

Install the front roof trim panel.

3.

Front Roof Trim Panel

Make sure the front roof trim panel has a even gap between to the trim panel and body as illustrated.

4. Install and tighten the 8 nuts.

Torque: 4Nm

5. Install the headliner.
