Land Rover Defender: Subwoofer

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTE:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Remove the left front row seat.

2. Remove the left front treadplate trim.

3.

• Remove the 2 clips.
• Reposition the front floor carpet front section away from the floor carpet rear section.

4.

• Remove the 4 clips.
• Reposition the rear floor carpet rear section away from the air vent.

5.

• Remove the 2 clips.
• Remove the air vent.

6.

• Remove the wiring harness clip.
• Reposition the wiring harness away from the bracket.
• Remove the 4 bolts.
• Remove the bracket.

7.

• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Remove the 4 nuts.
• Remove the subwoofer speaker.

INSTALLATION

1.

• Install the subwoofer speaker.
• Install and tighten the 4 nuts.

  Torque: 7Nm

• Connect the electrical connector.

2.

• Install the bracket.
• Install the wiring harness to the bracket.
• Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

  Torque: 5Nm

3.

• Install the air vent.
• Install the 2 clips.

4.

• Reposition the rear floor carpet to the original position.
• Install the 4 clips.

5.

• Reposition the front floor carpet to the original position.
• Install the 2 clips.

6. Install the left front treadplate trim.

7. Install the left front row seat.
