REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

GENERAL EQUIPMENT

PART(S)

REMOVAL

NOTE:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

1. Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe.

2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

3. Remove the engine undershield.

The following step(s) applies to: Left-hand drive vehicles

4.

• Remove and discard the bolt.
• Reposition the steering column shaft away from the steering gear.

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

5.

Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the engine mount.

6.

Remove and discard the engine mount to engine bracket nut.

7.

• Position the trolley jack and wooden block below the engine.
• Adjust the trolley jack and wooden block to support the weight of the engine.

General Equipment: Wooden Block

8.

Remove and discard the 4 bolts.

9.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

Raise the engine off the engine mount.

10.

Remove the engine mount.

INSTALLATION

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

1. Install the engine mount.

2.

• Install and tighten the 4 new bolts.

  Renew Part: Engine mount bolt(s) Quantity: 4.

  Torque: 32Nm

3.

• Lower the engine assembly, make sure the components are correctly aligned.
• Lower the trolley jack and wooden block away from the engine.

  General Equipment: Trolley jack
  General Equipment: Wooden Block

• Reposition the trolley jack and wooden block away from the vehicle.

4.

• Install and tighten the engine mount to engine mount bracket nut.

  Renew Part: Engine mount to engine mount bracket nut Quantity: 1.

  Torque: 124Nm

5. Connect the vacuum pipe to the engine mount.

The following step(s) applies to: Left-hand drive vehicles

6.

• Reposition the steering column shaft in the correct location.

  Install and tighten the bolt.

• Renew Part: Lower steering column to steering gear bolts Quantity: 1.

  Torque: 30Nm

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

7. Install the engine undershield.

8. Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe.
