Land Rover Defender: Front Right Fender
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding paintwork.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
2. Remove the windshield washer reservoir.
3. Remove the secondary bulkhead right panel.
4. Remove the front bumper.
5.
Remove the bolt.
6.
- Release the 6 clips.
- Remove the front fender moulding.
7.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the bracket.
8.
- Release the 9 clips.
- Remove the front trim panel.
9.
Remove the 2 bolts.
10.
Remove the 3 bolts.
11. Remove the front fender trim panel.
12.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the front right fender.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTE:
Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
- Install the front fender.
- Install the 3 bolts.
2.
NOTE:
Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.
Install the 2 bolts.
3.
NOTE:
Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.
Install the 2 nuts.
4.
NOTE:
Only tighten the nuts finger tight at this stage.
Install the bolt.
5.
Align the fender gaps to the surrounding body panels as illustrated.
6.
- Tighten the 3 upper bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
7.
- Tighten the 2 lower bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
8.
- Tighten the 2 rear nuts.
Torque: 10Nm
9.
- Tighten the front bolt.
Torque: 10Nm
10. Install the front fender trim panel.
11.
- Install the 9 clips.
- Install the fender moulding.
12.
- Install the 4 clips.
- Install the bracket.
13.
- Install the 6 clips.
- Install the fender moulding.
14. Install the secondary bulkhead right panel.
15. Install the windshield washer reservoir.
16. Install the front bumper.

The IGM / ICCM is subject to the power management of the quiescent current
relay which is integrated into the Rear
Junction Box (BCMB). Power management is controlled by the BCM/ GWM.
The BCM/ GWM controls the quiescent current relay in the BCMB. The BCM/ GWM
receives startup battery status
