Land Rover Defender: Door Mirror

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

NOTE:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1.

• Release the 7 clips.
• Remove the front door upper trim panel.

2.

NOTE: Do not remove the component at this stage.

• Release the 3 clips.
• Release the door mirror trim panel.

3.

• Release the 2 clips.
• Disconnect the front door tweeter speaker electrical connector.
• Remove the door mirror trim panel.

4.

Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

5.

• Remove the 3 bolts.
• Use a suitable tool to release the upper clip.
• Carefully release the lower clip.
• Remove the door mirror.

INSTALLATION

1.

• Install the door mirror.
• Install the 2 door mirror clips.
• Install and tighten the 3 door mirror bolts.

  Torque: 9Nm

2. Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the door mirror.

3.

• Connect the electrical connector to the front door tweeter speaker.
• Install the 2 front door tweeter speaker electrical connector clips.

4.

• Install the door mirror trim panel.
• Install the 3 door mirror trim panel clips.

5.

• Install the front door upper trim panel.
• Install the 7 clips.
