Land Rover Defender: Blower

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTES:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

2.

• Release the 2 clips.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the footwell lamp.
• Remove the footwell lamp.

3.

• Remove the 3 screws.
• Remove the passenger side footwell trim panel.

4.

• Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower.
• Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
• Remove the 3 screws.
• Remove the blower.

INSTALLATION

1.

• Install the blower.
• Install and tighten the 3 screws.

  Torque: 1.2Nm

• Install the wiring harness to the 2 clips.
• Connect the electrical connector to the blower.

2.

• Install the passenger side footwell trim panel.
• Install and tighten the 3 screws.

  Torque: 5Nm

3.

• Connect the electrical connector to the footwell lamp.
• Install the footwell lamp.

4. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
