Land Rover Defender: Rear Quarter Trim Panel - 90

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

WARNING:

CAUTION: Make sure that excessive force is not used. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.

NOTE:

1.

NOTE: The step must be completed on both sides.

Position the front row seat forward.

2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

3. Make the SRS safe.

5. Remove the loadspace upper trim panel.

Remove the right second row seat backrest frame retaining bolt.

Use a suitable tool to release the right second row seat backrest.

Remove the second row seat center seatbelt anchor bolt.

Fold the left second row seat backrest.

Remove the left second row seat backrest frame bolt.

Use a suitable tool to release the left second row seat backrest.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Make sure that the clips are installed in the correct orientation.

Install the 12 rear quarter trim panel clips.

3.

CAUTION: Make sure that the door aperture seal is not stretched on installation.

NOTE: Right side illustration shown, left side is similar.

Use the suitable tool to reposition the door aperture seal.

NOTE: The steps 6 to 9 for left side removal only.

7. Install the left second row seat frame access trim.

8. Reposition the left second row seat backrest.

11. Install and tighten the right second row seat backrest frame retaining bolt.

Torque: 9Nm

12. Install the right second row seat frame access trim.

13. Reposition the right second row seat backrest.

15. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

NOTE: The step must be completed on both sides.

Reposition the front row seat to center position.
