Land Rover Defender: Rear Integrated Control Panel

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTES:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Remove the front row seats on both side.

2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

3.

• Open the floor console stowage compartment lid as illustrated.
• Remove the floor console stowage compartment lid 2 covers.

4.

NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.

Remove the 4 bolts.

5.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.

• Release the 15 clips.
• Remove the floor console side trim panel.

6.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

• Remove the 4 screws.
• Release the 3 clips.
• Release the floor console rear trim panel.

7.

• Disconnect the 5 electrical connectors.
• Remove the floor console rear trim panel.

8.

• Remove the 6 screws.
• Remove the rear center air vent assembly.

9.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

• Remove the 4 screws.
• Remove the Rear Integrated Control Panel (FCIMB).

INSTALLATION

1.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

• Install the Rear Integrated Control Panel (FCIMB) to the floor console rear trim panel.
• Install and tighten the 4 screws.

  Torque: 1.2Nm

2.

• Install the rear center air vent assembly to the floor console rear trim panel.
• Install and tighten the 6 screws.

  Torque: 1.2Nm

3.

• Connect the 5 electrical connectors to the FCIMB and the 4 power sockets.
• Install the floor console rear trim panel at the 3 clips to the floor console.
• Install and tighten the 4 screws.

  Torque: 1.2Nm

4.

NOTES:

• Repeat this step for the other side.
• Make sure that the bolts are centered in the bolt hole.

• Install the floor console side trim panel at the 15 clips.
• Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

  Torque: 2.2Nm

5.

• Install the floor console stowage compartment lid 2 covers at the 2 clips.
• Close the floor console stowage compartment lid.

6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

7. Install the front row seats on both side.
