REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
- Protect the surrounding trim to avoid damage.
- Make sure that the tools and equipment are clean, free of foreign
material and lubricant.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1.
CAUTION:
Use a suitable trim tool.

- Carefully release the 6 clips.
- Release the front overhead console.
2.

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the front overhead console.
3.
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the clips.
NOTE:
Only do the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness from the 2 clips.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Remove the microphone.

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the wiring harness.

- Release the 3 clips.
- Release the 3 volumetric sensors.
- Release the 3 wiring harnesses.

- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the volumetric sensor module.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTE:
- Steps 1 to 4 are only required if the components were previously
removed.
- Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
- Install the volumetric sensor module to the front overhead console.
- Install the 4 volumetric sensor module clips.
2.
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the clips.
- Install the 3 volumetric sensors to the front overhead console.
- Install the 3 volumetric sensor wiring harnesses to the 8 clips.
3. Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the volumetric sensor module and
the front overhead console.
4.
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the clips.
- Install the microphone to the front overhead console.
- Install the microphone wiring harness to the 2 clips.
- Connect the microphone electrical connector to the front overhead
console.
5. Connect the 2 front overhead console electrical connectors.
6.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
- Install the front overhead console.
- Install the 6 front overhead console clips.
