Land Rover Defender: Matte Bonnet Decal

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

WARNING: Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.

INSTALLATION

1.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Clean the illustrated surface. Make sure the area is clean and there is no dirt or dust.

2.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Place the decal (B) into position equally aligning the edges of the decal with the edges of the raised hood section.

3.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Using suitable tape, secure the decal in position on 3 sides of the decal over half its width. Check the alignment.

4.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Fold the right side of the decal over. Remove and cut the backing paper off on the right side. Work the squeegee from the center out to the edge of the right side. Check the alignment.

5.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Fold the left side of the decal over and remove the backing paper on the left side. Work the squeegee from the center out to the edge of the left side.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Remove the decal application tape.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Selecting the correct design for your vehicle, place the decal (C) onto the hood making sure to line up with decal (B).

8.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Using suitable tape, position the decal (C) and secure as illustrated. Fold back the decal and remove one third of the backing paper. Work the squeegee rearward. Check the alignment.

9.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Remove the remaining backing paper and work the squeegee forward. Check the alignment.

10.

Matte Bonnet Decal

Remove the decal application tape.

11.

NOTE: This procedure requires the vehicle to stand for a minimum of 24 hours after installation in a dry, temperature controlled environment.
