1. Remove the rear quarter trim panel.

2. Remove the B-pillar lower trim panel.

CAUTION:
Use a suitable trim tool.

- Release the 11 clips.
- Reposition the front treadplate to get access to the electrical
connector.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the front treadplate trim.
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1.
- Install the front treadplate trim.
- Connect the electrical connector.
2. Install the 11 clips.
The following step(s) applies to:
5-door
3. Install the B-pillar lower trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
3-door
4. Install the rear quarter trim panel.

In high range, the torque output from the automatic transmission is passed to
the transfer case input shaft. The
position of the shifting sleeve couples the input shaft directly to the transfer
case housing. The differential splits the
