Land Rover Defender: Front Row Seat Head Restraint

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTE:

• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations for the left side components, right side components are similar.

1. Remove the front row seat.

2.

Release the 2 trim panel straps.

3.

• Release the trim panel from the 8 clips.
• Remove the trim panel as illustrated.

4.

• Release the front row seat backrest cover upper clip.
• Reposition the backrest cover to access the head restraint bracket.

5.

Release the 2 clips from the head restraint bracket.

6.

Remove the head restraint.

INSTALLATION

1.

NOTE: An audible click will be heard as each side of the headrest is installed to the correct location.

Install the head restraint.

2.

• Reposition the front row seat backrest cover to the correct location.
• Install the upper clip.

3.

• Install the trim panel.
• Install the 8 clips.

4. Install the trim panel straps.

5. Install the front row seat.
