REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
The front passenger seat heater mat and Restraints Occupant Classification
System Module (OCS) are
available only as a service kit. No attempt should be made to replace individual
components. Failure to follow
this instruction may result in personal injury
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Remove the front row seat cushion cover.

NOTE:
If equipped.

Remove the front row seat cushion heater element.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the screw.
- Release the pipe from the clip.
4.
CAUTION:
Note the Installed position of the component prior to removal.

- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove the OCS.
INSTALLATION
1.
CAUTION:
Remove the retaining clip prior to installing the service kit.

CAUTION:
The occupant classification sensor service kit must not be separated and it must
be installed as
provided.

3.
- Install the OCS.
- Install the 2 clips.
4.
- Install and tighten the screw.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the pipe to the clip.

NOTE:
If equipped.

Install the front row seat cushion heater element.
6. Install the front row seat cushion cover.
7.
NOTE:
Make sure that the front seats are empty during this process.
If a new service kit is installed, configure the OCS using the approved
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) diagnostic
tool and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) (DTC)

Control Module (RCM). Wait at
least 1 minute after you disconnect the startup battery ground cable before
you do any work on the
Supplementary Restraint System (SRS). If you do not
