Land Rover Defender: Distribution Motor - Right Front Face/Feet
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTES:

The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
The following step(s) applies to:
Left hand drive vehicles
2. Remove the instrument panel upper section.
The following step(s) applies to:
Right hand drive vehicles
3. Remove the instrument panel lower trim.

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the air duct temperature
sensor.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the front right footwell air duct.

- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors from the HVAC control module
(HVAC).
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the Universal Serial Bus
(USB).

- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the HVAC bracket.

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the right front face/feet
distribution motor.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Remove the front right face/feet distribution motor.
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1.
- Install the front right face/feet distribution motor.
- Install and tighten the 2 screws.
Torque: 1.2Nm
- Connect the electrical connector to the front right face/feet
distribution motor.
The following step(s) applies to:
Left hand drive vehicles
2. Install the instrument panel upper section.
The following step(s) applies to:
Right hand drive vehicles

- Install the HVAC control module bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5Nm
- Secure the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Connect the 4 electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the Universal Serial Bus (USB).

- Install the front right footwell air duct.
- Install and tighten the screw.
Torque: 1.2Nm
- Connect the electrical connector to the air duct temperature sensor.
5. Install the instrument panel lower trim.

6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

The IGM / ICCM is subject to the power management of the quiescent current
relay which is integrated into the Rear
Junction Box (BCMB). Power management is controlled by the BCM/ GWM.
The BCM/ GWM controls the quiescent current relay in the BCMB. The BCM/ GWM
receives startup battery status
