REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

WARNING: If installing a new brake disc, install new brake pads.

CAUTION: Brake discs must be renewed in pairs.

NOTE:

WARNING: Take extra care that the brake pedal is not pressed during the replacement procedure. Failure to follow this instruction might result in personal injury.

NOTE: This step is only required if the JLR diagnostic equipment is not available.

Set the EPB to the maintenance position.

3. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

4. Remove the rear wheels and tires.

Remove and discard the bolt.

INSTALLATION

1.

CAUTION: Damaged components must be replaced.

Use brake cleaner fluid to clean the brake disc shield.

Material: Brake Cleaner (3U7J-2C410-AA)

Use brake cleaner fluid to clean the brake caliper assembly.

Material: Brake Cleaner (3U7J-2C410-AA)

CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Use brake cleaner fluid to clean the brake disc.

Material: Brake Cleaner (3U7J-2C410-AA)

NOTE: Right side only.

Connect and secure the brake pad wear sensor.

7. Press the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.

8. Install the wheel and tire.

9.

NOTE: This step is only required if the JLR diagnostic equipment is not available.

Disable the EPB maintenance mode.
