REMOVAL
1.
- Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment and
set the Integrated Power
Brake to the assembly mode.
General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
- Set the Electric Park Brake (EPB) to the maintenance position.

2.
WARNING: Take extra care that the brake pedal is not pressed during the replacement procedure. Failure to follow this instruction might result in personal injury.
NOTE: This step is only required if the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) diagnostic equipment is not available.
Set the EPB to the maintenance position.
3. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
4. Remove the rear wheels and tires.

NOTE: Right side only.

- Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor from the brake pad.
- Release the grommet.

CAUTION: Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the 2 bolts.
- Remove the EPB actuator.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
INSTALLATION
1.
CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts and a new o-ring seal is installed.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Electric park brake actuator fitting kit Quantity: 1.
- Install the EPB actuator to the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 new bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.

NOTE: Right side only.
- Connect the brake pad wear sensor to the brake pad.
- Secure the brake pad wear sensor wiring harness.

NOTE: This step is only required if the JLR diagnostic equipment is not available.
Disable the EPB maintenance mode.
4.
- Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and disable the Integrated
Power Brake assembly
mode.

- Calibrate the EPB using the JLR approved diagnostic equipment.

5. Install the wheel and tire.

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel lower trim.

- Remove the 4 screws.
- Remove the Electric Park Brake (EPB) switch.
INSTALLATION
1.
- Install the Electric Park Brake (EPB) switch.
- Install and tighten the 4 screws.
Torque: 1.5Nm
2. Install the instrument panel lower trim.
3. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
