REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

REMOVAL

WARNINGS:

NOTES:

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

1. Make the SRS system safe.

2. Remove the front row seat head restraint.

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Release the seat backrest cover rear clip.

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Release the 2 wiring harness clips.

NOTE: If equipped.

Disconnect the seat backrest cover heater element electrical connector.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Release the upper seat backrest cover tension strap.

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Release the 2 lower seat backrest cover tension straps.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Release the 4 front row seat backrest cover clips.

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Remove the 2 side airbag nuts.

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Disconnect the side airbag electrical connector.

Release the 2 blower motor clips.

13.

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Remove the side airbag.

CAUTION: Care must be taken not to damage the seat cover.

Remove the RSE docking station trim.

Remove the front row seat backrest cover assembly.

The following step(s) applies to: Vehicles with climate controlled seats

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Use a suitable tool to remove and discard the 11 hog rings.

Use a suitable tool to remove and discard the 11 hog rings.

Remove the front row seat backrest cover.

INSTALLATION

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

1. Install the front row seat backrest cover.

NOTES:

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

General Equipment: Hog ring pliers Renew Part: Hog rings Quantity: 11.

The following step(s) applies to: Vehicles without climate controlled seats

Front Row Seat Backrest Cover

Install the 11 new hog rings in the sequence illustrated.

The following step(s) applies to: Vehicles with climate controlled seats

Install the 11 new hog rings in the sequence illustrated.

The following step(s) applies to: All vehicles

5. Install the front row seat backrest cover assembly.

7. Install the side airbag.

8. Install the blower motor to the 2 clips.

9. Connect the side airbag electrical connector.

10. Install and tighten the 2 side airbag nuts.

Torque: 9Nm

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Install the 4 front row seat backrest cover clips.

12. Install the 2 lower seat backrest cover tension straps.

13.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Install the upper seat backrest cover tension strap.

NOTE: If equipped.

Connect the seat backrest cover heater element electrical connector.

15. Install the 2 wiring harness clips.

17. Install the seat backrest cover rear clip.

18. Install the front row seat headrest.
