Land Rover Defender: Passenger Door Window Control Switch

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTES:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

2. Remove the front door trim panel.

3.

• Release the 5 clips.
• Remove the access cover.

4.

• Remove the 2 bolts.
• Remove the interior door handle.

5.

• Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the passenger door switchpack.
• Release the connector.
• Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
• Remove the 3 screws.
• Remove the passenger door switchpack assembly.

6.

• Remove the screw.
• Remove the passenger door window control switch as illustrated.

INSTALLATION

1.

• Install the passenger door window control switch.
• Install and tighten the screw.

  Torque: 2Nm

2.

• Install the passenger door control switch assembly.
• Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

  Torque: 5Nm

• Install the electrical connector.
• Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
• Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the passenger door switchpack.

3.

• Install the interior door handle.
• Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

  Torque: 6Nm

4. Install the door handle access cover.

5. Install the front door trim panel.

6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
